Spotlight on Queen Alexandra Chapter

Welcome to the Queen Alexandra Chapter: we invite ladies of British and Commonwealth birth or ancestry, or who have significant others of the same heritage, to learn more about our chapter. Our 50 members are residents of Southwest Riverside County, encompassing Canyon Lake, Idyllwild, Lake Elsinore, Menifee, Murrieta, Sun City, Temecula, Wildomar and Winchester.

We meet the 3rd Sunday of the month at 2:00 pm at The Colony in Murrieta. We have a short business meeting followed by light refreshments and time to socialize. Our chapter motto is ‘Everybody does a little so nobody has to do a lot.’

80% of our fundraising efforts are donated to the Western British Home located in Sierra Madre and 20% to support local 501(c)(3) non-profits in our community; currently our local charity is ‘Inspire Life Skills Training.’ which mentors and trains former foster youth to become self-sufficient, responsible and to make positive life choices through the pursuit of higher education.

Our signature events are our Annual ‘Best of British Tea’ in October and our Fundraising Bus Trips that are very well attended by our supporters and help spread the word about our organization.. Our members enjoy socializing at our ‘First Tuesday Lunch Group’ where we support local restaurants and our Craft Group that make items for our booth at the June Faire and for the NICU at Loma Linda Murrieta hospital.

We have a ‘Special Friend’ at the British Home who we visit on special occasions and send her cards on a regular basis.
